It’s a few days before my book launches and a new advertisement just came out from Volkswagen, to be featured in the SuperBowl in a few days time.
It’s an ad poking fun at Jamaicans and at the very end it makes light of the fact that Jamaicans don’t get as stressed as Americans over issues related to punctuality.
That’s the same week that a Jamaican-American (that would be me) publishes a book on time management – Bill’s Im-Perfect Time Management Adventure.
A delicious irony.
But maybe not. Moving to Jamaica in 2005 gave me the creative spark needed to start writing about time management on my blog. I think, in retrospect, that I wanted to combine the easy relationship we have to time along with a dose of good ole’ Yankee productivity.
